After successful completion of the above course what do I do? (Sea going service) |
You are eligible to join any ship as deck cadet or Trainee navigating officer (TNO). Minimum of 12 months sea service (Includes on-board training, TRB and 6 months supervised bridge watch keeping duties) required. | Your company will allot you a ship in which you are required to complete 24 months of sea time, in number of contracts as required by the company. (Includes on-board training, TRB and 6 months supervised bridge watch keeping duties). | Your company will allot you a ship in which you are required to complete 36 months of sea time, in number of contracts as required by the company.(which includes six months supervised bridge watch keeping duties) These 36 months you will be sailing as a deck rating. |

After successful completion of on-board training what do I do? (Post sea Education ,training and assessment) |
You are required to complete post-sea education and training. This includes Assessment of TRB and sea - going service Radar and ARPA simulator training at operational level. A-IV/2 GMDSS GOC A-IV/2-1 PSC&RB A-IV/3 AFF A-IV/4-1 MFA ORAL EXAM (Only) |
Assessment of TRB and sea - going service + Foundation course PCME 2 months (May be done after pre – sea course Also ) Radar and ARPA simulator training at operational level. A-IV/2 GMDSS GOC A-IV/2-1 PSC&RB A-IV/3 AFF A-IV/4-1 MFA WRITEN AND ORAL EXAM |

What is next? (Sea Going service) |
With the above COC you are eligible to sail on any foreign – going vessel as officer in charge. You are required to complete a minimum period of 18 months as OIC | ||

After successful completion of 18 months as described above , what do I do? (Post sea Education ,training and assessment ) |
Assessment of sea-going service + Radar and ARPA simulator training at management level + Search and rescue training + B-V/4-2 Medical care + A - I/6 and B - I/6 Training and assessment + A-I/8 and B-I/6 Quality standards + B-V/4 & B-V/5, Carriage of dangerous cargoes After successful completion of the above courses you will be appearing for a Written and Oral exam. |
